Is the Hebrew Goddess hiding in plain sight? In this Two part class we’ll study the history of the Canaanite/Israelite Goddess Asherah. We’ll study her evolution from ancient mother/tree/fertility Goddess, to consort of
YHVH, to the Shechinah/Divine Presence, and the Kabbalists Tree of Life. We’ll explore how she appears in the Torah and the Tanakh and look for clues as to how she is with us in our sacred text and liturgy even today.
