President’s Report

Daniel: The Havurah is facing many challenges that all other communities are also facing. However we are optimistic.

Rabbi’s Report

  • Has been our rabbi for thirty years and much has happened during this time. We have a good relationship with the other local synagogues.
  • Since October 7 we’ve been connecting with the local police and other institutional responders.
  • Thank you Ayala for everything that you have done.
  • Rabbi David is retiring. There are some serious applicants. Stay tuned.
  • There is hope for Jewish Renewal. We have our place in it, am doing our best and facing the challenges.

Executive Director’s Report

Ayala expressed gratitude and thanks

  • To the Council.
  • To the staff. Karen is an incredible office manager. We hired Kristina who is an expert in QuickBooks.
  • To Moshe Ross for all he does for us.
  • To Daniel for helping us secure the $150,000 security grant.
  • To Steve Ennis, our project manager.
  • To Ellen Marks for overseeing the unhoused parking program.
  • To Rabbi David for EVERYTHING.

Budget

  • Daniel explained that this is a transition year. We are not alone. A lot of schuls are retracting. We are hanging in there.
  • We have gone through and gone past the Kalman gift from three years ago.
  • Daniel went through the budget line by line.
  • Budget passed by a hand vote. 50 people voted !
