Yom Ha’atzmaute: Israel Independence Day Slide Show with Rabbi David
Wed. eve April 18 at 7:30 PM
Last year Rabbi David spent a week in Poland that culminated in an extraordinary event where he marched with thousands of high school students from around the world. They marched from Auchwitz to Berkinau to commemorate Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Memorial Day. They flew to Israel and a week later celebrated Israeli Independence Day, Yom Ha’atzmaute.
Rabbi David writes, “I never really got the deep connection between the suffering of our people and the indolence of our people until I went on the March of the Living trip. Both sacred days are purposely placed a week apart from each order to teach us something very deep about finding purpose in our sorrow. Come join me as I share with you my slide presentation from this amazing trip.”
For those of you who missed this slideshow that was narrated by Reb David and his son Ari and daughter-in-law Julia last summer, you won’t want to miss this repeat of the slide show oriented toward the Israeli Independence Day.
