Special Maggid Weekend
Join us for a very special weekend! Torah Service, Storytelling Concert and Ordination, August 21-22
Reb David and Devorah are really excited to be hosting an online gathering of their Maggid students for
their graduation weekend in Ashland Aug 21-22. These eleven students, from Ashland, Chico, Portland, New York, Philadelphia, and even one from student from the Netherlands have been studying the art of Jewish storytelling with Devorah, and Torah interpretation with Reb David for two years. They would love you to join them on Zoom to celebrate their accomplishments and graduation.
Ashland folks are Morah Cyrise Betty-Schachter, Dr. Marty Towbin, Deborah Rosenberg, Hazzan Dr. Randall Miller and the special certification of Ayala Zonnenschein and Hazan Steve Margolin who participated in Reb David’s classes for the past two years.
The Saturday morning service will be filled with liturgical poetry, Torah teachings, songs, and stories. Saturday evening will focus on storytelling. Sunday morning will be a joyous graduation ceremony.
